Enos Merrill Perkins b. 1784 Gilmanton, NH.
d.1849 Lebanon, Grafton Co., NH. He was a shoemaker by trade. Son of (True
& Sarah "Sally" (Merrill) Perkins). His
wife m.5.19.1811 @ Salisbury, Essex Co., MA; JUDITH (COLBY).
They came from Southampton, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire to Chelsea,
VT. In 1808 I find a land deed filed in Chelsea, VT for land purchase in
Chelsea, VT. In 1818 they removed to Lebanon, Grafton Co., NH and then
settled at Newport, Sullivan Co., NH.

I find Deeds dated
1829 & 1831 located at Chelsea, Orange Co., VT
stating that Enos M. Perkins sold his land in
Chelsea, Orange Co., VT to
Benjamin Perkins Sr. & his son
Benjamin Perkins Jr. This being the same land he bought from and
sold to Noah Rowe of Chelsea, VT.
I find a deed dated 3.17.1849 where Enos M.
Perkins of Newport, Sullivan Co., NH purchased a lot of land in
Newport, Sullivan Co., NH.
There is "PERKINS" relationship between Enos M. Perkins and
Benjamin Perkins & Benjamin Perkins Jr., Further researched is
needed on the exact relationship. |

Chelsea, Orange Co., VT on 12.9.1806 from Oliver Smith. In 1808, his
brother "Daniel
Perkins" of Randolph, Orange Co., VT and Ivory Douglas of the same
place, assisted in settling the Estate of Oliver Smith.

household of his son-in-law Ezra Prentiss. His known

I find a land purchase deed dated 5.8.1829 & recorded on 3.15.1831 in
the Chelsea, VT Land Records 1828-1837 Book. David Perkins of Chelsea, Orange Co., VT is selling several parcels
of land to Benjamin Perkins of Chelsea, Orange Co., VT, it being the
same land in which Enos Perkins sold to
Benjamin Perkins, then Benjamin Perkins Jr. in a deed dated
10.6.1818 and the 3rd parcel of land being the same land which Noah Rowe
sold to Ebenezer Perkins (since deceased) in a deed dated
10.16.1824.
I find a land sale\land purchase deeds dated 4.27.1838
recorded
in the Chelsea, VT Land Records
1838-1847 Book. John W. Perkins working out a deal with his
father Benjamin Perkins Jr., where Benjamin Perkins sold his land to
John W. Perkins and they purchased the land back form John W. Perkins in
an agreement that John W. Perkins agrees tol support Benjamin & Susan
Perkins the remainder of their lives, and that he will provide support
to his sisters Mary & Olive Perkins to have a place to live until they
are married, schooling until they reach the age of 18, and the same for
his brother Benjamin T. Perkins until he reaches the age of twenty.
*These are two separate deeds dated on the same date*
I find a land purchase deed dated 11.20.1844 recorded in
the Chelsea, VT Land Records 1838-1847 Book. A man named Daniel Gilman
of Chelsea, VT is selling land in Chelsea, Orange Co., VT to Benjamin
Perkins of Chelsea, VT it being two parcels of land deeded by Benjamin
Perkins to (his son) John W. Perkins 4.27.1838 on lots numbers 14
& 15 in Chelsea, VT. The second parcel was land deed to Daniel Gilman
from John W. Perkins dated 1.12.1842
I find a land sale deed dated on the same date as 11.20.1844
recorded
in the Chelsea, VT Land Records
1838-1847 Book. Benjamin Perkins is selling the same parcels of land he
had just purchased from Daniel Gilman, located in Chelsea, Orange Co.,
VT

They were listed on the 1820 Census at Barnard, Windsor Co., VT.
They were known to have lived in Orange Co., VT in 1822. I find a 1825
Sharon, Windsor Co., VT Land deed listing him as being from Strafford,
Orange Co., VT. The land he purchased in 1825 was a lot of land spit
between Strafford, Orange Co., VT and Sharon, Windsor Co., VT he sold
this same land in 1826. They removed to
Unity, Sullivan Co., NH. He was a prominent Methodist Minister.
