John Perkins b.1816 Schoharie/Broome Co., NY d.1888 Sparta, Monroe Co., WI. Son of (Alfred /Alford & Margaret (Unknown) Perkins). His 1st wife HARRIET E. (PIKE) who died prior to 1871. His 2nd wife: HARRIET (ROBERTS). They were listed on the 1850 WI Census at East Troy, Walworth Co., WI. In 1860 & 1870 they were listed living at Lafayette, Monroe Co., WI.

Their known children were:

ALLEN PERKINS

Allen Perkins b.1802 MA d.1882 WI. Son of (Jeduthan & Rhoda (Yeamans) Perkins). His wife MARTHA (Unknown) b.1800. He was a native of Cazenovia, Madison Co., NY then Walworth Co., WI. He was the first settler at Lyons, Walworth Co., WI (1836/1837). They were listed on the 1840 WI Census at Geneva, Walworth Co., WI. On the 1850 WI Census at Hudson, Walworth Co., WI. In 1855 at Willow/Cazenovia, Richland Co., WI. In 1860 at Westford, Richland Co., WI. He had the first settlement in the town of Westford. In 1865 he removed to Laclede Co., MO. He is buried in the Honey Creek Cemetery, Walworth Co., WI. He made his first land purchase in Wisconsin on 3/25/1841 at Walworth Co., WI. In 1870 they are listed at Hooker, Laclede Co., MO.

Their known children were:

OLIVER J. PERKINS

Oliver J. Perkins b.1798-1800 NY\RI d.1881 Bethel, Fayette Co., IA. His wife CATHERINE (SPEAR\SPEARS) b.1808 NY. They were listed on the 1830 NY Census at Mendon, Monroe Co., NY. In 1835 they resided at Greece, Monroe Co., NY as well as resided at Gates, Monroe Co., NY. They were listed on the 1850 and 1860 WI Census at Richmond, Walworth Co., WI. In 1860 he was listed without a wife or children and was living in the household of Henry Har. *Family moved to Fayette Co., Iowa where wife and children are listed on the 1860 census. He made his first land purchase in Wisconsin on 3/1/1848 at Walworth Co., WI

I find a deed that references Oliver Perkins, dated 12.7.1832 recorded in the Monroe Co., NY 1832 Deeds Book. A man named William Cheeney and his wife Ruth of the town of Greece, Monroe Co., NY is selling land located in Greece, Monroe Co., NY to a man named Aristarcus Champion. A Parcel of land which is part of lot #116 bounded east on seventy-three acres of land on the east side of said lot #116 now owned by Oliver Perkins and Abraham Spear on the north and south by the north and south line.

A parcel of land in the city of Rochester, Monroe Co., NY on lot #36, township #1, short range, west of the Genesee River being part of that part of said lot 36 which was set off to Alexander Simpson in 1824, Simpson then holding by contract under Josiah Bissell which sub-division was made by order of Court by Elisha Johnson & Others and by an other survey made by Gardiner Mc Cracken in 1836, known as lot #16 on a map of said survey.
