Vermont Biographical Sketches

MOSES PERKINS

Moses Perkins b.1786 Rockingham, Windham Co., VT d.1858 Rutland Co., VT. Son of (Rufus & Susannah (Dutton) Perkins). His wife HULDAH (WILLIAMS). They were listed on the 1810 Census at Shrewsbury, Rutland Co., VT and in 1820 at Clarendon, Rutland Co., VT. In 1834 he sold his land in Shrewsbury, Rutland Co., VT to Philany Lewis, wife of Isaac Lewis a tract of land that was west of his brother Amasa Perkins. This is the same lot of land he purchased from Thomas Knight in 1833.

CHARLES W. PERKINS

Charles W. Perkins b.1766-1784. His wife UNKNOWN. They are listed on the 1810 Census at Kirby, Caledonia Co., VT. On 10.1.1813 I find a land deed for Charles W. Perkins who purchased land at Kirby, VT. Then on 11.22.1813 he sold this same piece of land located in Kirby, Caledonia Co., VT. This deed was filed from Concord, Essex Co., VT. It appears he only lived at Kirby, VT a short 3 years. Where he went after that is unknown.

CYRUS PERKINS

Capt. Cyrus Perkins b.?. His wife is UNKNOWN. In 1814 he is listed in the Fairfax, Franklin Co., Deed books as Cyrus Perkins of Fairfax, Franklin Co., VT when he purchased a parcel of land located in Fairfax, VT. In 1822, he sold this same parcel of land and was listed as Cyrus Perkins of Potton, Bedford Co., Lower Providence of Canada. He is then listed on the 1825 Canadian Census at Potton, Quebec Canada as "Captain Cyrus Perkins".
