JOSEPH JOHN PERKINS
Joseph John b. 1792 NY. His wife CATHERINE\KATHERINE (JACOB) b.5.4.1792 NY d.5.2.1876. He is listed on the 1840 Michigan Census in Commerce, Oakland Co., MI. In 1850 at Novi, Oakland Co., MI. He and his family came to Michigan in 1835 and settled in Novi, Oakland Co., MI. They were married 1-1-1813 at Saratoga, NY. He is buried at the Novi Cemetery, Novi, MI.

Their known children were:

1.Mary "Polly" Perkins b. 1815 Saratoga, NY d. 1897 MI m. (10/24/1843) Daniel Knapp (Resided at Leroy, Osceola Co. MI)
2.John J. Perkins  b.1817 NY d.1900 MI

3.Catherine L. Perkins b. NY m. (10/20/1840) William Taylor.

In 1850; Mary Perkins b.1842 was listed in their household.

MARTIN DELOSS PERKINS
Martin Deloss Perkins b. ca.1820 d. 2.21.1848 Milford, Oakland Co., MI.. *Probably a son of (Samuel & Jemina (Stevens) Perkins). His wife m. 9.19.1844; HARRIET (HOPKINS). They were married in Oakland Co., MI in 1844.

Their children were:

1.Martin Perkins b. ca. 1845 MI
2.Lucy Perkins b. ca. 1847 MI

I find a Land Sale Deed dated 7.10.1843 recorded in the Oakland Co., MI Deeds 1843-1844 book between Leonard & Lucretia Perkins  (a known son of Samuel & Jemina (Stevens) Perkins) and Martin Deloss Perkins of the town of Milford, Oakland Co., MI, they are selling land at Milford, Oakland Co., MI to Nancy Myers

THOMAS M. PERKINS
Thomas M. Perkins b. ?. His wife m.2.19.1835 Rochester, Oakland Co.; SARAH ANN or ANNA SARAH (TAYLOR)  b.ca.1819 NY d. Aug. 1894 MI. They are listed on the 1840 MI Census in Brandon, Oakland Co., MI & the 1840 Census at Sterling, Macomb Co., MI. After the death of her husband, she married 2nd.1.14.1849; George Patrick at Oakland Co., MI. They resided in 1850 at Avon, Oakland Co., MI. On the 1850 Census, the Perkins children were listed with the surname of "Patrick" instead of Perkins. They removed to Atlas, Genesee Co., MI and in 1880 & 1890 they resided at Vassar, Tuscola Co., MI.

Their known children were:

His first land purchase recorded at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) was on 8/2/1837 in Township/Range 004 North-007 East, E 1/2 NE 1/4, Section 28 and E 1/2 NE 1/4 in Section 33, Oakland Co., MI.

I find a land purchase deed dated 1.14.1840 recorded in the Shiawassee Co., MI Deeds 1838-1843 Book. Daniel Odell is selling his land to Thomas M. Perkins of Macomb Co., MI located in the east half of the southwest fractional quarter of section thirty-one in township number eight north of range number three east, in Shiawassee Co., MI..

*I find a land purchase deed dated 3.13.1840 recorded in the Lapeer Co., MI Mortgages 1852-1854, 1846-1851 Book. Marvin & Thedora Reed are selling land in Lapeer Co., MI to Thomas Perkins of Oakland Co., MI (*I'm not sure if this deed is for Thomas M. Perkins)

I find a land sale deed dated 3.15.1843 recorded in the Shiawassee Co., MI Deeds 1838-1843 Book. Thomas M. & Anna S. Perkins of Shiawassee Co., MI are selling land located in the east half of the southwest fractional quarter of section number thirty-one in township number eight north range number three east, to Lucius G. Hammond of Shiawassee Co., MI.

I find a land sale deed dated 11.13.1844 recorded in the Shiawassee Co., MI Deeds 1843-1846 Book. Thomas M. & Anna S. Perkins of Shiawassee Co., MI are selling land located in the east half of the southeast quarter of section twenty-one, in township seven north of range one east, to William Badgero of Shiawassee Co., MI

Thomas Perkins b.1834 Ireland and his brother John Perkins b.1839 Ireland. They were listed on the 1850 MI Census at White Lake, Oakland Co., MI in the household of Edmund & Mary Grotty.

Charles W. Perkins b.1775 CT. His wife MARY (Unknown). They were listed on the 1840 & 1850 MI Census at Orion, Oakland Co., MI.

No children listed in household.

Harvey Perkins b.1816 NY or VT  d.7.31.1883 MI. His wife 1st wife LOUSIA "LOIS" (UNKNOWN), his 2nd wife m.3.6.1845 Orion, Oakland Co., MI; PHOEBE (WILLIS) b.1822. They were listed in a 1838 as being from Orion, Oakland Co., MI. In 1840 they are listed at Marathon, Lapeer Co., MI.
They are listed on the 1850 & 1860 MI Census at Addison, Oakland Co., MI.
 

His known children w/Phoebe were:

BENJAMIN L. PERKINS

Benjamin L. Perkins
b. ?, came from Springwater, Livingston Co., NY where he was a hired hand on the farm of Elias Daniels at Troy, Oakland Co., MI in 1831.

Henrietta Perkins b. ca. 1810 NY, came from Locke, Cayuga Co., NY. Came to Michigan with her brother Benjamin Perkins (above). She m. 1837 to *William Dawson and settled in Tyrone, Livingston Co., MI. In 1856 this family removed to Rockford, Floyd Co., IA. *William Dawson was 1st m. to ______ Daniels, sister of Elias Daniels. By the 1870 Census, Henrietta (Perkins) Dawson & family are listed living at Tyrone, Livingston Co., MI. In 1880 she listed that her father was born in Rhode Island. William Dawson b.1808 NY d.1883 at Hazelton, Shiawassee Co., MI.

Henry Perkins b. 1835 KY (African-American). His wife m.3.16.1837 Oakland Co., MI; LOUISA (ISHAM). They are listed on the 1860 MI Census at Farmington, Oakland Co., MI. He was living in the house-hold with Pete & Eliza Mills.

EPHRAIM PERKINS
(Attorney) Ephraim Perkins b.2.19.1804 NY d.4.7.1891 Oakland Co., MI. Son of (Ambrose and Ezubia "Betsey" (Chamberlain) Perkins). His wife OLIVE B. (Unknown). His first land purchase was on 1/5/1831 in Township/Range, 001 North-010 East, W 1/2 SE 1/4, Section 1, Oakland Co., MI. They were listed on the 1840 & 1880 MI Census at Southfield, Oakland Co., MI. In 1870 he is living next to his son Allen L. Perkins b.1835 MI. In 1900 Olive Perkins aged 92 is living with her sons Widow at Southfield, Oakland Co., MI

Their known children were:

1.Sophia Perkins b.1830 NY
2.Amelia Perkins b.1832 MI
3.Allen Perkins b.1835 MI

1860-1880 - Living in their household was their grand-daughter:
